TradeMark East Africa (TMEA), a not for profit organisation which aims to promote regional trade and economic integration in East Africa, has signed a contract with Enabling Environments to provide technical assistance to the Private Sector and Civil Society in Rwanda.

The objective of the technical assistance is to support the Rwanda Private Sector and Civil Society Organisations in strengthening their position in areas of research, advocacy and private-public dialogue so as to effectively represent the interests of its members.

The scope of work on the assignment is divided in three key components:

  1. Mentoring and counselling for PSF Advocacy staff and platform technical working group members during execution of advocacy activity plans;
  2. Research on selected advocacy topics. These may include but are not limited to: quality infrastructure and standards management, international trade, export, mutual recognition agreements, logistics and transportation services, liberal professional services, trade negotiations, policy analysis, taxation and gender in trade;
  3. Technical support on the implementation and monitoring of advocacy platforms activity plans.

This is a one-year assignment that will take place during the whole 2016. Enabling Environments’ team is made of two main experts supported by several local, regional and international experts.
