Title: Support to Agricultural Value Chain Actors for Promoting Quality and Improving the Competitiveness of Togo

Project Location: Lomé, Togo

The Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Programme, funded by the European Union, has awarded a contract to Enabling Environments to support the stakeholders of the agricultural sector in promoting quality and in improving the competitiveness of Togo.

The project’s objective is to support the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the TOGO and the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Private Sector Promotion and Tourism of the TOGO to promote quality in agricultural value chains and in the integration of the Togo at regional and global level.

The project will aim to improve the legislative and regulatory framework, strengthen the capacity of institutions components of the National Quality Infrastructure raise awareness of quality processes inherent to the food industry and support them towards accreditation.

The team set up by Enabling Environments to achieve the aims of the project consists of three experts. This project will run for nine months until September 2016.
