Project Description
Title: Revision of the Forests Act, Chapter 213, Substantive Laws of Belize, Revised Edition 2011
Project Location: Belmopan, Belize
The overall objective of the consultancy was to revise and update the Forests Act, Chapter 213 of the Substantive Laws of Belize and its Subsidiary Laws, Revised Edition 2011 to promote long-term conservation, management and sustainable use of the Forest Resources of Belize.
Enabling Environments implemented this project through the expertise of a team of three key experts to achieve the project objective. The team :
- Carried out a comprehensive legislative review and a Diagnostic Assessment;
- Convened Stakeholders Consultations;
- Provided a draft revised Forests Amendment Bill.
